Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Child Care Registrar provides essential registration, billing, accounts receivable, and administrative support to the YMCA Preschool University program, as well as overseeing and maintaining childcare billing records. The primary responsibility is to fill and maintain childcare openings in order to maximize enrollment. The Child Care Registrar will provide administrative and financial support to establish and maintain department records, as well as coordinate assigned projects and compile and distribute a wide range of material and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assicuate degree or related field or experience.
- 4-6 years’ experience in a Business Office Environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Google Docs and Outlook.
- Knowledge of standards, state, and local childcare licensing requirements
- Proven ability to function as a team member.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, interdisciplinary environment and with diverse community based agencies.
- Ability to work with staff, parents, and others from various backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Process enrollment packets for full fee and government subsidized child care programs
- Process paperwork to certify and recertify families that receive subsidized care in child care programs
- Interact with parents on a regular basis regarding enrollments, certifications, financial assistance and payment status
- Input attendance into NOHO system on an ongoing basis
- Maintain immunization records and submit an annual immunization report to the Department of Health
- Maintain the state subsidized wait list to ensure children are pulled according to CDE/CDSS requirements
- Keep up with ongoing trainings from CDE/CDSS
- Update and print monthly rosters and attendance sheets
- Disseminate information and feedback from staff and parents in an effort to increase effective practices and communication within the program.
- Complete other assignments as needed
