Are you a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) looking for your next step?

Our Getting Help team are recruiting a qualified (or about to qualify) Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).
The Getting Help Team team play a vital part in providing early mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people in the community. They adopt a multi-agency approach with close links to specialist CAMHS, ensuring a seamless approach to care for children and young people.
You’ll work independently to deliver high quality, outcome informed, low intensity therapy based interventions. This hybrid role will involve working in person and online. The team are based in Bracknell, with flexibility to work from home where appropriate. Being able to manage your own diary is essential.
In this role. you will have experienced practitioners around you and ongoing CPD. You’ll have opportunities for development and excellent supervision. There is the chance to get involved in wider projects and room to grow and progress.
As well as qualified CWP’s, the team welcome applications from Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) who have completed a children’s module. Candidates will need to be accredited (or eligible for accreditation) with BPS or BABCP
The working pattern for this permanent role is Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
- Deliver evidence-based intervention for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems
- As a qualified CWP be confident in the use of CYP IAPT principles, evidence-based interventions and routine outcome measures.
- Helping children and young people who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services; using effective multiagency collaborative working to effectively signpost and refer on where needed
- Supporting professionals in various settings (e.g. education, Early Help, Social Care etc.) to identify and where appropriate manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing
- To care co-ordinate and manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools under supervision
- To develop and provide training/workshops for professionals, parents and carers, and CYP in conjunction with colleagues.
- Actively promote the whole system approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and well-being within and across services.

THE “MUST HAVES” FOR THIS ROLE:
Qualified or about to qualify Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner..
A British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited or the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accredited CWP training course or preparing to submit for accreditation
Experience or knowledge of low intensity evidence-based interventions to children & young people
