A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced paediatric nurse to join our multi-disciplinary palliative care team. We are a well-established service caring for children in the Bradford and Airedale district.
Our base is St Luke’s Hospital in Bradford, but a lot of our work is undertaken in the community at the family home, in education settings, on the ‘Children and Young Persons Ward / Accident and Emergency Department at the Bradford Royal Infirmary hospital or working alongside the local hospices – ‘Martin House’ in Boston Spa and ‘Forget me not’ in Huddersfield.
As part of our team you will support families at diagnosis and throughout the child and families’ journey, to make the most of every moment together.
To come and join our team you will need to have a sound knowledge of symptom control, advanced communication and counselling skills, be able to work autonomously and take on new challenges.
A current full UK / EU driving licence is essential in addition to access to a vehicle to carry out duties.
