We are a well-established, friendly team looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist who is keen to specialise their career in the challenging but rewarding field of Paediatrics.
You will have a minimum of two years post-registration experience with broad experience in paediatrics, neurology, MSK and rehabilitation. Previous general paediatric experience is essential. Full support and mentorship will be provided. You will have extensive experience of working within multidisciplinary teams and have excellent communication skills.

The Children’s Therapy Team is an integrated Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team providing a service for children aged 0-19 years in a variety of settings. This post is be based within the Child Development Centre however you will see children and young people with MSK and neurological conditions in homes, nurseries, mainstream schools and special schools. You will be expected to manage a large, complex and varied caseload and you will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the overall service as required

To act as a specialist clinician for the Children’s Therapy Service, supporting the clinical leads with developing and embedding best practice into the service whilst managing own specialist caseload and records. To undertake a defined range of high standard professional duties, within the Children’s Therapy Team, working within a range of settings such as clinics, nurseries, schools and the home. To carry out specialist assessments of babies and children with a range of conditions common to children and to develop an individualised treatment programme. To carry out specialist physiotherapeutic interventions to babies and children underpinned by the best available evidence and to educate and advise parents/carers to actively participate in the management of long term conditions
