JOB DESCRIPTION

Initial Reporting Location: 199 Larch Street
Job Status: Limited Position - Funded Position - Bilingual - English/French
Estimated Probable Duration: One (1) Year
Affiliation: Inside Unit
Hours of Work: 70 hours bi-weekly

Range of Pay: Group 12 - $33.11 to $41.77 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in a human services program.
- Over two and one-half (2½) years up to and including five (5) years of related work experience.
- Some knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
- Demonstrate a proven ability related to computer software and administrative systems in a Windows environment (e.g. file maintenance, word processing, computerized spreadsheet applications, information input and retrieval, etc.).
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills required for effective client communication.
- Possess facilitation and presentation skills to present internally and externally.
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with a range of interrelated services and agencies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgement and tact and make timely decisions.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
- French verbal skills and a good working knowledge of written French is required.
- Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history.
- Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid driver’s licence, have an acceptable driving record, and personal insurance coverage.

Development opportunity range of pay: $30.86 to $38.35 per hour. The successful candidate will be paid at the reduced range until the minimum qualifications have been met.
