Wherever you work in the Action for Children family, you’ll be helping to change the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK.
Last year, we helped more than 687,000 children and families across the UK. From direct work in communities to national campaigning, we are focused on making sure every child has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.
Why Action for Children?
Working here is more than a job. Everyone in the Action for Children family is passionate about protecting and supporting children. It’s the sense of purpose that drives us every single day. Because we know that, when we work together, we can make a huge difference to bring lasting improvements to vulnerable children’s lives.
About the service
The Family Support Hub is a multi-agency network of organisations that either provide early intervention services or work with families who need early intervention services. The network accepts referrals for families who need early intervention family support and uses their knowledge of local service providers and the Family Support Database (the NI wide database) at www.familysupportni.gov.uk to signpost families with specific needs to appropriate services.
The Early Intervention Family Support service aims to help children and their families work together at an early stage to explore solutions and prevent more long term problems from arising.
The project works with children 0-17yrs and their families.
The project hopes to achieve better outcomes for children and young people through:
- Building on the strengths of families
- Promoting parenting skills Increasing parents ability to nurture successfully

- Individual and group work for parents and children
- Home based support for parents
- Outreach community work in a range of urban and rural settings
