POSITION SUMMARY

The Chopper Chef specializes in precise and efficient cutting, chopping, and preparation of ingredients, ensuring uniformity and quality in every dish. As a critical part of the kitchen team, they prepare meats, vegetables, and other ingredients in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in knife handling and cutting techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Chop, dice, mince, and slice vegetables, meats, and other ingredients with precision and consistency.
  • Ensure all ingredients are prepared to the required size, shape, and texture for specific recipes.
  • Handle special cutting techniques for specific dishes or presentations.
  • Knife and Equipment Maintenance
  • Maintain and sharpen knives and cutting tools to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure all equipment used for chopping and cutting is cleaned and stored properly.
  • Kitchen Operations
  • Support chefs by preparing ingredients for cooking and assembling dishes.
  • Work efficiently to meet the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment, especially during peak hours.
  • Assist with food portioning and plating as needed.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before preparation.
  • Minimize waste by optimizing the use of ingredients and adhering to portion control guidelines.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Team Collaboration
