Description:
We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an CI Engineer within our Continuous Improvement team to help support our Aerospace business. At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions. How high are our quality standards, you ask? So much so, that we have products on-board the Space Launch System with NASA, as well as the F-15 and F-35 fighter jets! If you join our team, your work will ensure families across the world fly a little safer, wherever their travels may take them.
You will be responsible for assessing production processes and offering solutions to improve them. You will use the principles of lean manufacturing, a production method that aims to streamline work, increase efficiency and add value.
Responsibilities:
- Manage total facility Continuious Improvement initiatives, provide coaching on lean tools, and drive projects through implementation to completion
- Develop Operational Excellence annual plan with a focus on LAMPS (Lean Tools) that drive labor redeployment efficiencies, OEE improvements and shop floor space gains.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, idea generation, and value analysis to develop and prioritize VAVE pipeline
- Responsible for quickly adapting to financial gaps through adjusting timing of improvement plans, creating additional improvements, and overall supporting the branch financial plan
- Maintain a culture of functional and Operational Excellence, supports 5S, lean initiatives and to be a committed role model for our Company’s Beliefs and Behaviors.
- Adhere to internal and external Business Processes and Certifications synonymous with a large US Incorporation operating within the Automotive Industry
- Fulfill assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.
