QUALIFICATIONS:

0-2 years regulatory and compliance experience in Argentina with a financial services firm, particularly on Anti-money laundering, embargoes and sanctions and KYC, skilled in liaising with front, middle and back office personnel on Financial Security domain matters providing independent advice in Argentina with a strong preference towards having worked for Bank with a significant presence in Argentina.
Knowledge and experience as AML Officer local financial institutions, in particular deep understanding about the Argentinian AML legislation and regulatory requirements.

Ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines.

  • Good interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues.

Experience with AML transaction monitoring and KYC tools.
Knowledge of AML processes and relevant regulatory issues.
Ability to treat multiple priorities and tasks as well as to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Junior Analyst reports directly to the Head of Compliance and is part of a team of compliance officers located in Argentina, with a focus on Financial Security topics (namely Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions and Embargoes) as well as all KYs subjects (Know Your Client – KYC, Know Your Intermediary – KYI, Know Your Employee – KYE and Know Your Supplier – KYS). The Junior Analyst will:
Function as a transversal domain Junior analyst across all businesses with regard to AML, Sanctions and Embargoes, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, KYs matters and in this regard also work closely with Operations (Due Diligence and Client Onboarding) as well as Information Technology so as to ensure all functions in Buenos Aires are operating seamlessly;
Assist the Head of Compliance to enable an effective compliance program for execution by 1st line business, as well as to execute and sustain a robust 2nd line of defense compliance process with respect to the Financial Security scope, including but not limited to: risk assessments, implementing and keeping policies/procedures and training materials up-to-date, in line with Group and local regulatory requirements, and ensuring that KYC and client referential global policies and global requirements are properly implemented, assessing gaps and executing processes, reviewing and treating alerts and advising on sanctions and embargoes, as well as reporting; and
Perform the review of alerts Level 2 in the any and all available Anti-Money Laundering System, escalating issues as appropriate and ensuring that alerts are treated on time until a final decision is reached;
Assist in the monitoring of the Sanctions and PEP related alerts and ensure that appropriate audit trail on the alert review and decision process is in place;
Support the Compliance team, when needed, in performing KYC and client referential related tasks, such as escalations, KYC recertification as well as advising the business and/operations when there are questions; performing risk assessments, reviews, reports, etc;
Assist the Head of Compliance in ensuring that global policies and procedures are implemented in Argentina in line with the local regulatory requirements;
Report quantitative and qualitative data to governance forum and senior management;
Follow up and assist the Head of Compliance in implementing new regulations and global requirements; and
Assist the Head of Compliance in developing Compliance policies (and associated standards and procedures) in the country, in accordance with Group and Americas Compliance policy, ensuring its implementation and taking into account local regulations.
