Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Ciena Technical Presales Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting our European business to technically enable and grow our partners. Working internally with our European sales teams across multiple countries and externally with our partner community in engaging the partner community to accelerate business through the provision and application of technical expertise across the Ciena network stack.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a member of the CoE Networking & Security, you will be responsible for the technical go to market for Ciena:
- Achieve Ciena training curriculum and achieve needed certifications to provide expertise on Ciena solutions.
- Collaborate and align with COE colleagues, Ciena in countries resources and Ciena to understand the technical business requirement and growth initiatives to propose & support the relevant Ciena solutions.
- Respond to technical solution inquiries predominately internal business function but also external partners.
- Lead and support Ciena solutions by building the solution use cases to support Demos, Proof of Concepts and Partner Enablement .
- Evangelizing Ciena Partner Community on Ciena technology , product & solutions. Provide thought leadership.
- Leading educational technical webinars & providing demo capabilities / assistance.
- Support complex, high value sales opportunities and participate in pre-sales activities (design, sizing, project scoping, etc.) to accelerate wins.
- Deliver technical led presentations to internal & external audiences.
- Visit Partners on site with a specific focus on UK & Ireland based Partners.
