Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Circular Economy Strategic Delivery Manager, you will champion transformative projects aimed at overhauling waste management and sustainability practices across our six boroughs. This role involves:
- Infrastructure Development: Collaborating with boroughs and operations teams to implement a new Household Reuse and Recycling Centre (HRRC) model, focusing on social value reuse and significant HRRC enhancements.
- Strategic Planning: Overseeing the design and development of six circular economy hubs, ensuring they foster social value through reuse and repair activities.
- Project Management: Leading a dynamic team and managing a project team of 40, ensuring alignment with project goals and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Budget Oversight: Managing a budget of £10,000,000, conducting profit/loss and ROI analyses, and ensuring financial investments align with sustainability objectives.
- Environmental Compliance: Staying informed about current and emerging waste management regulations and ensuring all projects comply with both local and national standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Using tools like Microsoft, Power BI, and ArcGIS for thorough analysis of project data and generating detailed reports to guide strategic decisions.
POTENTIAL ROLES
You may have experience in roles such as Infrastructure Project Manager, Waste Management Project Manager, Environmental Infrastructure Manager, Recycling Operations Manager, Waste Collection Manager, Resource Management Project Manager, Circular Economy Infrastructure Specialist, Environmental Program Manager, or Project Manager (Waste and Recycling Services).
