Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

As a CIS Oracle Cerner Healthcare Consultant, you will be responsible for the implementation, optimization, and support of Oracle Cerner systems. You will work with healthcare organizations to improve their workflows, train users, and ensure the systems meet their needs. This role requires expertise at different levels, from Junior to senior, each with specific responsibilities and qualifications. This is a remote opportunity ,but occasional travel may be required.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • Implementation & Configuration:
  • Assist in or lead the implementation and configuration of Oracle Cerner systems.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct comprehensive system assessments and provide recommendations.
  • Training & Support:
  • Facilitate user training and ensure the adoption of the system.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for end-users.
  • Document system requirements and configurations.
  • Workflow Analysis & Optimization:
  • Participate in or lead workflow analysis and design sessions.
  • Design and optimize complex workflows and system configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Conduct testing and validation of system functionalities.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Provide expert recommendations based on detailed analysis.
  • Stakeholder Management & Leadership:
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Mentor and train junior consultants and staff.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Oracle Cerner Systems.
  • Proven experience providing support for EMR implementation.
  • Strong understanding of EMR systems.
  • Proficiency with clinical workflow analysis and system configuration.
  • Ability to deliver technology-focused training in clinical environments.
  • Project management skills and the ability to handle complex problems.
  • The ability to work effectively in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in clinical or hospital settings is an asset.
