Description:

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK

This position is responsible for developing and coordinating art-related educational programs for the public in a variety of settings. The position works independently within established policies and guidelines, under general supervision of the Executive Director. Work is evaluated through the established goals and subsequent review of goal attainment.
Workdays and Hours - Monday - Friday - 8:00am-5:00pm

REQUIREMENTS OF WORK

  • Ability to use a computer to access, interpret and record information including customer relations management
  • Proficient with Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques, including advertising, customer information processes and materials, and promotional techniques
  • Superior creative communication and copy writing skills
  • Ability to plan, manage, and complete creative projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, representatives of other organizations, and the public
  • Ability to work with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly, grammatically and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work an irregular schedule as required
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license
  • An employee shall not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • Associate degree in arts education, fine arts, graphic design, or relevant field.
  • 1 year experience recruiting, overseeing, and evaluating staff.
  • 1 year experience developing and implementing innovative educational programs and projects.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.

Preferred Experience and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts education, communications, design, business, marketing, or arts-related administration.
  • 1 year experience working with diverse populations and organizations and teaching experience in art-related fields.
