The Opportunity
We are looking for an individual to join our Energy Water and Resources team of civil engineers, apprentices, and technicians in the north-west of England.
This role is based in our Liverpool office however, our team is connected across a wider geography working with colleagues across the north-west of England and Yorkshire (NWY) to deliver projects throughout the north of England, into Wales and the rest of the UK. We have also been involved overseas as part of a wide and diverse global organisation and are therefore able to bring in broad expertise, as well as providing support to others around the world.
Within our team there is a growing team of dedicated engineers delivering water industry work and this role would be to join them.
The wider team of water civil engineers is currently very strong and our Liverpool team is a recognised growth area within the business. We are also looking to strengthen our capacities in other areas as well. Our wide portfolio of current projects includes site development schemes within the Liverpool city region and local vicinity (including Sci-Tech Daresbury, Metsa and Cronton Country Park), infrastructure provision with Sellafield, and flood alleviation schemes for the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales. There is interaction between the teams which will allow the suitable individual to gain a much wider technical experience on water-based projects.
Is this role right for you?
We are looking to increase our capacity and capability within our water engineering team. We have been successful in gaining work as part of the AMP8 programme across a number of water companies including United Utilities. We are looking for an engineer to join the team where they can grow and develop their skills. The individual should have relevant experience working within a design organisation delivering work within the water sector of civil engineering.
We’re looking for the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:
- Degree qualification in a relevant subject.
- Following a recognised path to professional qualification.
- Minimum of three years of experience in aspect of design of civil engineering projects within the water sector (drainage, SuDS, water industry, flooding).
- Happy to work in a team and starting to take responsibility on projects
- Developing an interest helping others develop their skills.
