About the role
We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer CRE -to join our Rail team and work on the successful delivery of the rail works associated with the Sizewell C project.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct design reviews to ensure that discipline-specific designs are delivered on schedule and comply with the defined scope and applicable standards during both pre-construction and delivery phases.
  • Perform technical, quality, and compliance audits as required to ensure the project adheres to applicable standards and best practices.
  • Support the project team in delivering Civil Engineering design and construction activities, including risk assessment, mitigation strategies, method statements, and work package plans.
  • Provide the project team with technical guidance, leadership, and site safety oversight while monitoring project performance to maximize efficiency and successful delivery.
  • Coordinate Civil Engineering activities among all relevant internal and external parties, including subcontractors’ Responsible Engineers, the Programme Engineering Manager, Principal Project Engineer, Project Management, Construction Manager, and Design Delivery Managers.
  • Assist the project team in developing appropriate project plans to support efficient resource management and successful project delivery.
  • Develop and adapt technical instructions for Civil Engineering to ensure project methodologies and installation activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure that discipline-specific designs and installations comply with all applicable standards, legislation, contract requirements, and specifications.
