We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Fire Systems Designer to join us and become an integral part of the Sydney Projects team. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will work in a creative and collaborative team where knowledge sharing and a fun culture are in our DNA.
Our skilled team will train you and assist in developing skills for swift career progression. Your primary responsibility is to Design, coordinate, manage workflows, and produce fabrication sheets for Sprinkler Systems from concept design through to As Built. You will assist in the preparation of detailed Civil Engineering drawings and plans for inground infrastructure civil engineering work and support like-minded Civil Engineering professionals and Engineering Technologists. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE THAT IS PREFERRED ALTHOUGH NOT MANDATORY:
- Qualifications.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- AutoCAD.
- Revit software and BIM.
- Team player - good interpersonal communication skills.
- A ‘Safety in Design’ thinker.
- Fab sheet production through AtuoCAD and Excel.
OTHER NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
- Hydraulic Calcs
- Dry Fire Design knowledge
- NCC knowledge.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing sketches, spreadsheets, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as water supply, water reticulation systems, buildings, bridges and other structures.
- Performing and directing fieldwork through a design ethos.
- Interpreting designs and scope of work to assist in the selection of equipment.
- Undertaking calculations relevant to the projects you are working on.
- Ensuring costs and works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
- Inspecting the site to assist in the design development and supervising the final installation.
