Description:
We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to conduct inspections of existing wood framing structures and generate comprehensive inspection reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of wood construction practices, building codes, and structural integrity assessments.
REQUIREMENTS
- Conduct Inspections:
- Perform thorough site inspections of existing wood framing to assess condition, stability, and compliance with building codes.
- Identify signs of damage, deterioration, or structural issues.
- Analyze Findings:
- Evaluate the structural integrity of wood framing, including load-bearing elements and connections.
- Assess compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare Inspection Reports:
- Create detailed reports summarizing inspection findings, including photographs, diagrams, and recommendations for repairs or modifications.
- Clearly communicate the condition of the framing and any identified issues.
- Client Consultation:
- Discuss findings with clients and stakeholders, providing clear explanations of any necessary actions.
- Offer recommendations for remediation or further evaluation if needed.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all reports and inspections are documented in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.
- Maintain knowledge of current building codes and best practices related to wood framing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience in inspecting wood framing structures or similar construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and structural assessment practices.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software for report generation and analysis.
