Job Description
The Civil Engineer is part of the Engineering team, providing the necessary guidance to designers and supporting project managers in the execution of several investment projects. He/she works in very close collaboration with Production, Maintenance and Process Departments.
As a member of one or more project teams, the Civil Engineer is responsible for Civil Engineering of new installations and takes an active role in the design, construction and start-up of new installations. He/she can act as a project manager for Civil Engineering projects.
The scope of this role is the Tessenderlo Kerley business unit (international liquid and solid fertilizer business). The role is based in Ham, part of the Engineering team and reports to the Engineering manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a master’s degree in Engineering specialized in civil installations preferably with 5 – 8 years of experience within an industrial environment
- You have the skills to steer and coordinate different teams and you are a good communicator
- You have experience in a project environment and you are able to combine long term projects with operational work
- You have a hands-on attitude
- The Windows Office tools, MS Projects and SAP has no secrets for you
- You speak Dutch and English fluently

Responsibilities:
- You manage civil/structural engineering activities and as an expert on civil installations you are responsible for the lay-out of site and new installations and the stability studies
- You develop and review order books for civil installations and solve technical problems
- In support of operations and maintenance activities you analyze civil/structural infrastructure and you manage the database of standards and internal specifications
- In the portfolio of engineering projects you are responsible for the civil/structural focus and issues
- You guard compliance with the relevant safety and environmental regulations at any time
