Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate for our Highway Design team based in Markham, Ontario.
This is a full time role expected to begin in January or May 2025.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation, Highway, or Roadway Engineering
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, AutoTurn, InRoads/ OpenRoads)
- Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills
- Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Working within the (Highway) Design group on the planning and design of provincial highway facilities
- Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications
- Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians and planners
- Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
- Following corporate quality procedures
