Mott MacDonald Canada is currently involved in several major infrastructure projects in the aviation and transit realms. We are currently seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to complement our team and assist with horizontal and vertical infrastructure assignments for public and private-sector clients.
You will have the opportunity to work for clients such as the Greater Toronto Airport Authority, Metrolinx, and other major infrastructure entities. The Toronto office also supports capital projects in other geographies such as the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. This position offers opportunities to work on projects from around the world with colleagues from various backgrounds, tapping into the expertise of our global practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario in good standing
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design
  • Experience with utility relocation and coordination is an asset
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Confident and positive attitude
  • Ability to build and harbour good working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation Inroads

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in the delivery and design management of major infrastructure programs
  • Engage as part of large multidisciplinary teams and review design documents for consistency and coordination
  • Infrastructure design including roadways, active transportation, site grading and drainage
  • Oversee the development of roadway designs according to TAC Standards and municipal standards
  • Deliver packages of work as Engineer-of-Record with the assistance of other technical and production staff
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff undertaking technical design work
  • Assist in the proposal process as required
  • Develop technical libraries and support digital innovations within the organization
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders in the ongoing development of major programs
