Are you an experienced civil machine operator looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil company based in Hamilton, Waikato, that is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join their team. If you have experience operating machinery such as diggers, moxys, excavators, rollers and other heavy machinery, and hold a Class 4 or 5 driver’s license, we want to hear from you!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience operating civil construction machinery such as diggers, moxys, excavators, rollers, etc.
  • Class 4 or 5 driver’s license – essential for this role
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations on-site
  • Ability to read and follow site plans and technical instructions
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor environments
  • WTR endorsement

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Civil Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery on civil construction sites across the Waikato region. You’ll be working on various infrastructure projects, including roads, subdivisions, and earthworks to name a few. Your role will involve ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery while adhering to all health and safety regulations. You’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality results on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operating machinery including diggers, moxys, excavators, rollers, etc.
  • Conducting pre-start checks and ensuring equipment is maintained in good condition
  • Following site plans and instructions from supervisors
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and contributing to a safe worksite
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve project goals
