YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for experienced Civil and Structural Engineers with relevant design house experience to assist the Civil and Structural Engineering Department.
The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) degree and preferably be a Registered Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industrial engineering environment and Petro-Chemical plants with the emphasis on reinforced concrete and structural steel engineering is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:

• Assist the Lead Civil and Structural Engineer (LE) and Departmental Manager in various design and administrative duties.
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines and gather information required for the structural designs.
• Assist with the preparation of Design criteria and specifications
• During the course of the contract assist with monitoring the contract schedule and budget and make recommendations for appropriate action as and when required.
• Do the Civil and Structural engineering portion of Conceptual and Basic Engineering packages as per the Client RFQ.
• Provide technical assistance to site personnel as and when required.
• Keep up to date with technological developments and participate in the necessary CPD programmes to obtain professional registration status.
