Job Description
AECOM Canada is searching for a Civil Technician for a full-time position based at Edmonton.
Accountabilities:
Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Viewed as competent in all areas. Highest non-supervisory position.
- May oversee work of junior-level technicians. Viewed as competent in all areas.
Work would include carrying out supervision of geotechnical and environmental drilling investigations. Roles would include logging soils/rock, collecting samples for geotechnical and environmental testing, daily reporting, liaising with client and project team, supervising the installation of monitoring wells.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- HS + 6 years or more of demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in a related field.
