Description:
POSITION-: CLADDING TECHNICAL MANAGER
BHC is one of the UK’s leading Structural Steel Fabrication and Construction companies, supplying, and erecting fabricated steel nationwide within the UK and Ireland. We currently have a vacancy for a Cladding Technical Manager.
As the Cladding Technical Manager, you will lead the design, development, and coordination of cladding systems, working closely with architects, contractors, and material suppliers. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are delivered to the highest safety and quality standards, meeting all relevant regulations and specifications.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE-:
· Proven experience in cladding, façades, or building envelope systems.
· Strong understanding of construction materials, structural steelwork, and cladding design.
· Excellent knowledge of building codes, fire safety standards, and cladding performance characteristics.
· Proficiency in relevant design collaboration software (AutoCAD, Tekla, Trimble etc.).
· Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders.
· Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is beneficial.

Responsibilities:
· Provide expert technical guidance to project managers, estimators, and architects on cladding and building envelope systems.
· Support the commercial team during the tender process by reviewing cladding specifications and ensuring compliance with location-specific requirements.
· Collaborate with leading suppliers such as Kingspan and TATA to stay up to date on the latest industry standards and building envelope technologies.
· Manage the design and coordination of cladding packages, including cold-rolled steelwork, roof drainage systems, and fixing requirements.
· Prepare technical documentation and calculations for approval by external design teams.
· Ensure timely procurement of cladding materials and liaise with suppliers to meet project schedules and budgets.
· Conduct site visits and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure that cladding systems are installed accurately and efficiently.
· Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to completion, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
