KEY OBJECTIVES:

As a key member of the Financial Lines Claims management team, this position will report to the VP, Financial Lines Claim Leader, and work in collaboration to meet Chubb’s core claims objectives and exceed organizational service standards and best practices. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual who will thrive in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Primary responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of claims professionals while fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Claim Manager will have oversight of Directors and Officers, Errors and Omissions, Employment Practices, Cyber, Transactional Risk, Fidelity, and Fiduciary liability claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, coaching, leadership and technical oversight to a team of Financial Lines Claims examiners.
  • Oversee examiner work product and ensure compliance with Best Practices.
  • Direct professional and career development of staff by way of performance management, salary administration, and learning and development.
  • Deliver superior customer service; build and support long-lasting business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regularly meet with clients to review claims processes and emphasize Chubb Claims difference.
  • Demonstrate understanding of policy information including laws, standards and practices; interpret and apply policy language and address claim issues.
  • Provide assistance to underwriters on claims issues, such as providing claims data, and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage relationships, work product, and expenses of outside vendors, including lawyers, independent adjusters, and other experts.
  • Completion of University degree/College diploma and/or equivalent experience required.
  • 8+ years of industry experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Completion of post-graduate degree an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead complex claims reviews with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to achieve strong audit and customer service results, holding individuals and teams to the highest standard of delivery.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
