We have an opportunity for a Claims Admin Support for a 12 month fixed term contract to join our great Commercial Claims Team on a hybrid basis.
Your role
A job like this involves handling cases at the first notification of loss from our customer, policyholders and third parties.
You will spend the majority of your time managing customer interactions, liaising with suppliers, supporting colleagues and reviewing policy wordings. You will be desk based dealing with customers and third parties on a one to one basis, although you will also work with other colleagues and be part of a team. You will have good communication and organisational skills.
Assessing claims against relevant criteria and experience to identify actual or potential issues and involving others as appropriate in order to minimise leakage and protect the interests of the business. Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
As a Commercial Claims Admin Handler you will be responsible for being the first point of contact for our customers, policy holders and third parties. When there is the need for them to make a claim, you will register the first notification of loss (FNOL), manage that customers expectations and signpost them through the next steps in their claim journey.
The small admin team is the beating heart of the Commercial Claims department. As an Admin Handler you will be collaborating with your colleagues in the admin team and across the department on a daily basis. You will be responsible for allocating new and existing claims across the Injury and Property damage teams that make up Commercial Claims.
Training will be provided to allow you to access claims against relevant criteria and policy wordings to identify actual or potential issues/claims. By working alongside and involving others you will be working to protect both the interests of the business and our customers.
About you
Administrative experience in an insurance environment would be preferable, however this is not essential.
Good knowledge of Microsoft applications would necessary for this role.
You will have the ability to adapt approach to differing business/client expectations and policy requirements with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with customers both internal and external.
