Description:
Transportation Claims Analyst, reporting to the Director of Transportation, will provide quality investigation and analysis to adjust claims to proper conclusion. The ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge of insurance claims to independently investigate, evaluate, subrogate and resolve assigned claims of a more complex nature in order to achieve appropriate outcomes.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Basic understanding of insurance claims principles, regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency in using office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs) and data management tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and efficient data entry and recordkeeping
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven critical thinking skills that demonstrate analysis/judgment and sound decision making with focus on attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Background in the trucking industry would be beneficial but not required
Responsibilities:
- Subrogate claims within a self-insured organization.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all general automotive and auto liability claims for the transportation group.
- Lead and review the entry and processing of claims within the transportation group.
- Manage relationships among service vendors, brokers, and Lipari Foods to ensure proper handling of all claims.
- Process updates of claims as information is received from outside carriers.
- Serve as primary contact for various outside service providers (TPAs, claims adjustors) to ensure resolution and updating with outstanding claim, documentation gathering, and information sharing.
- Coordinate with management on claims reporting, investigations.
- Communicate with all involved parties to obtain or provide required, missing, or additional documentation to complete claims.
- Escalate problem claims or violations of company policies to the Director.
