SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting Claims Team with all clerical functions. This position works with multiple independent adjusters to meet carrier deadlines in reporting and investigating claims.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) or more years related administrative or general office experience required
Responsible for attending continuing education as required
SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer services skills, including telephone and listening skills
Strong problem solving and time management skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong typing skills

Responsibilities:
- Transcribes dictation, drafts, edits, formats and proofreads reports to be sent to the carriers;
- Submits finalized reports to carriers via email and online platforms, using specific guidelines for each carrier;
- Receives, confirms and sets up new claims;
- Maintains positive relationships with adjusters and carriers;
- Assists adjusters in clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and scanning;
- Processes vendor invoices and submits payment requests to accounting department;
- Creates invoices for services performed and bills clients; maintains and tracks spreadsheet of payments received and sends bi-monthly report to accounting;
- Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
- Other duties as assigned.
