Claims Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Claims Engineer will provide expert level support, professional capability and support in issue resolution management to the business on complex and critical product/process issues to meet operational requirements and ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations and other requirements.

As the Claims Engineer, you can anticipate some of your duties and responsibilities to include:

• Analyse warranty data and issue statuses;
• Complaint processing and relevant data capture;
• Regulate customer and supplier claims recourse with collated data;
• Create, track and implement corrective actions with relevant departments;
• Lead and control processing of supply warranty related tasks for RDA suppliers;
• Be involved in all tasks of the supplier reclamation process for past and current complaints and warranty costs; and
• Writing and distribution of reports like interim and end report, statement, etc.

This role will be based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Queensland.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Trade Qualification;
• Previous Experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance;
• Internal and/or External Audit or Inspection Experience;
• Ability to Read and Interpret Standards, Engineering Drawings and Customer Specifications;
• Lean Manufacturing Experience including Proven Ability with Root Cause Analysis Techniques like 8D;
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
