Description:

As Claims Manager you will be accountable for leading a claims team, managing a wide range of Personal and Commercial claims across the brokerage including mentoring team members by providing advice on complex claims situations. You will be responsible for managing the brokerage after hours claims intake process to support client service as well as collaborating with leaders across the brokerage to ensure efficiencies and business objectives are met.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Claims Representatives by providing day to day coaching and guidance on claims and ensure client service levels are met.
- Provide mentoring and development on complex claim files.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance client experience.
- Keep executive management apprised of sensitive and complex claims
- Track and manage claims and potential claims against Cowan
- Advocate for clients with insurers where required
- Provide subject matter expertise to leaders across P&C regarding complex claims such as interpretation of contract and policy language.
- Manage budgets for the Claims team.
- Create and or enhance business processes, operations, and workflow within the claims team.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, changes, and updates.
- Provide monthly reporting related to strategic initiatives & KPIs related to performance of team.
