Description:
INTRODUCTION
To attend to the daily operational mangement for all management claims matters including all claims salvage matters.
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Comfortable with Insurance Systems
- Insurance qualification or studying towards NQF 6
- Management Qualifications
- RE \ KI
- Motor Mechanical background will be advantageous
- Motor Assessment experience will be advantageous
- Registered Representative
- At least 10 years operational motor claims handling
- At least 5 years managerial experience with team of least 12 staff members
- Commercial and Corporate fleets, aggregates, and salvage management
- Binder and Non-Binder experience
Responsibilities:
ROLE PURPOSE
Provide a daily operational function for the motor claims team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize reports from all systems to ensure effective operational management: daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Manage and reduce all exceptions
- Prepare operational reports and proposals as needed
- Provide ongoing Technical and Operational training (technical, claims procedure for staff) and advise to all stake holders
- Provide guidance and mentorship to claims handlers, assisting in their professional development
- Managing and resolve complaints and disputes
- Ensure compliance to policies and procedures and identify and address performance issues
- Maintain training material, process flows and SOP
- Constantly improve and manage efficiency to achieve maximum potential
- Make decisions and authorisations within claims mandate
- Continually manage, review and measure team activities against targets and SLA’s
- Build relationships, manage, and monitor service providers
- Identify and drive system enhancements
- Manage Claims cost, reduce claims leakage and enhance salvage income
- Evaluate claims promptly and accurately by determining coverage and liability and manage the allocation of claim reserves/outstandings
- Attend and chair meetings and collaborate with other departments such as underwriting and legal to resolve complex claims issues
- Manage credit control
- Manage and maintain effective implementation of compliance, legislation and regulatory matters and stay informed of industry trends, legal developments, and emerging technologies related to claims handling
- Manage, mentor, training and instruct team
- Attend to high quantum/complex/contentious claims
- Provide all stakeholders with the highest standard of service
- Timely responses to email and telephonic messages
- Document claim activities and maintain accurate records
