About The Job

  • To assist with the performance and efficiency of Claims Operations, continually investigate ways to improve and seek opportunities to leverage the segmentated model.
  • To provide consistent delivery of a TRUSTed, first-class claims experience to clients, brokers and internal stakeholders in adherence with all MS Amlin policies, procedures, controls and our claims philosophy

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

  • To undertake Claims Operations processes.
  • Ensure that systems and performance is optimised to enable faster, better decision to be made by the Claims teams.
  • To assist the develop and implement an opportunity assessment process to identify and understand these; implementing and stabilising appropriate processes to address issues, and ensure these are documented and controlled.
  • Work collaboratively with upstream and downstream teams/stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the organisation.
  • Work towards undertanding the process and system lifecycle of claims and premium in the organisation.
  • Assist with the administration of management of outsource partners, to monitor and manage the performance and efficacy.
  • Support the claims response in the JSOX/FCA/PRA/Lloyd’s and internal regulatory and control environment. If you are an Owner or Operator of a control to ensure timely completion of all necessary actions within the quarterly reporting cycle.
  • Ensure the performance of team members remains at an excellent standard (including ‘green’ KPIs)
  • To coordinate with Claims Performance Management team to ensure timely delivery of KPI data and any other assistance required e.g. audits
  • Be a point of coordination for the claims department for claims authority, relevant system access
  • To learn to analyse claims data and provide specialist knowledge to clients and business to inform better business decisions.
  • Act as ambassador of our company, raising our profile in the market and proactively strengthening our claims reputation
  • To participate in and promote a respectful culture of open communication, collaboration, dynamic claims adjustment and continuous improvement - sharing knowledge with team and colleagues - to foster consistent superior service delivery and optimal working environment for all.

What you’ll need

  • Some experience in insurance or claims (preferable) with willingness to build relationships with relevant experts, brokers and co-insurers
  • CII or similar professional qualification (desirable) or willingness to work towards
  • Basic understanding of key principles and practices of London Market (preferable)
  • London Market Claims System, e.g ECF (preferable) & Microsoft Office Knowledge e.g. Excel
  • Knowledge of claims operations, technical claims lifecycles and reserving practices (preferable)
  • Willingness to travel and attend client events
