General:
Job Title: Claims Service and Communications Analyst
Division: Group Claims
Location: London
Reports To: As per Beazley’s organizational chart.
Key Relationships:
Claims Team, Claims Service and Strategy Team (“CSST”), Claims Business Management Team (“CBMT”), Marketing, Global distribution, brokers, external clients and service providers
Job Summary:
To support Beazley’s vision of being the highest performing sustainable specialist insurer and provide support for the development of a collaborative approach to learn, share ideas and diverse perspectives, and develop ways to meet the needs of the Claims team, our insureds and brokers Responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of centralized implementation of development and education of the claims team.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide organisational support to the Claims Service and Strategy Team specifically:

  • Assist with coordinating and tracking the Claims Team engagement with clients and brokers.
  • Assist with obtaining and analyzing broker and client feedback, cascading of information to the Claims Team, ensuring the utilization of information obtained drives positive change within the claims team to improve the client experience.
  • Help coordinate Beazley’s involvement in UK/European Claims marketing initiatives, including coordinating with the Global Claims team to provide support and ensure marketing campaigns remain on track.
  • Assist in developing communications for best practices pertaining to engagement with clients, brokers, Global Distribution and Marketing.
  • Assist with the production and maintenance of internal and external Claims presentations, spreadsheets, team development documentation and education materials.
  • Identify and/or respond to UK/European requests for support for assistance from Group Claims specific to development needs.
  • Build effective working relationships with other team members globally.
  • Participate in cross-team and intra-team projects, as required.
  • Promote the Beazley brand of excellence and professionalism in client service and build positive relations with the Claims Team, our brokers and insureds.

Conflicts of Interest

  • Adhere to Beazley’s Conflicts of Interest policy, alert the appropriate person to any potential conflicts of interest and take steps to resolve them promptly.
  • Immediately advise the Group Head of Claims if you observe any Beazley employee seeking to exert undue influence on another team member to act improperly in the management of any claim.

Personal Specification:

Education and Qualifications

  • Graduate calibre
  • Insurance experience (preferred)

Skills and Abilities

  • Interpersonal skills: Clear and concise written and oral professional communication, public speaking or presentation skills, flexibility, active listening
  • Strong focus on time management, able to manage and complete several diverse and concurrent projects
  • Achievement oriented with an ability to act decisively and work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to present arguments effectively to a range of different audiences

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in UK/European insurance industry, including preferably the Lloyd’s Market
  • Prefer experience of UK/European claims management guidelines & claims processes
