Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Claims Team Manager to join our Group Protection department on a permanent basis offering a salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience! This role requires a person to lead and manage a team of Claims Specialists. Working in our Hove office a minimum of once a week and the rest from home.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage, motivate and develop employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures to maximise the performance of the area
- Ensure the teams objectives and efforts are aligned to overall departmental goals, service level agreements and targets, pro-actively using relevant management information to monitor and respond to changes in performance levels
- Understand drivers of customer satisfaction and implement appropriate action plans, ensuring that development and systematic issues are actioned within your team
- Evaluate, review and resolve issues at team level to ensure consistency of service, resource and quality across the team whilst maintaining a strong risk management and mitigation framework
- Be responsible for the recruitment of staff within the Claims Team, ensuring the correct level of resource and the quality and competency of staff is maintained
- Hold regular 1:1’s with your team, coaching and supporting when needed
Qualifications

- Somebody who has excellent communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to be creative
- The individual must have people management experience
- Experience of managing a Claims team is desirable
