Our client Clarenville AutoPro is looking for two dedicated Automotive Technicians to join their growing team in a full-time permanent position. WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

We are seeking a reliable, dependable person to join our team who is client-focused, has excellent organizational skills in a fast paced work environment, and - like our team members - has a strong work ethic and dedication to integrity and quality. In addition to these qualities, you will bring with you:

  • 2+ years of experience in an Automotive Service Technician position
  • Proficiency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to speak second language would be considered an asset
  • OEM training is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team, take direction when needed and solve problem
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting and operating equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of shop equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Able to explain technical diagnoses and required repairs
  • Diagnose, repair and perform maintenance requirements on all aspects of the vehicle including the engine, transmission, electrical, etc.
  • Complete all work in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Record all pertinent information clearly on a repair order
  • Troubleshoot and test systems/components
  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles
  • Follow a step-by-step process to ensure that each component of the vehicle is examined
  • Use power tools, machine tools and common hand tools properly and safely.
  • Review customer work orders and discuss with the team lead
  • Inspect engine while in operation, road test vehicle if necessary, and test with advanced diagnostic devices to isolate any and all faults
  • Help maintain a healthy and safe working environment for everyone
