Welcome to All West Freight Ltd. We are a privately owned freight company specializing in local pick up and delivery services. Service is our core business and it is through our people that we meet our customers’ expectations. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as full-time Class 1 Trainee Company Town Driver.
We will assist in obtaining government grants through Work BC and the BC Trucking Association to cover the cost of the Class 1 MELT Program.
Job Description: You will safely and efficiently pick up and deliver freight while providing excellent customer service. The route includes Quesnel and 100 Mile House. The position requires a Class 1 license and involves both driving and warehouse work. This position is Monday to Friday, eight-hour shifts with occasional OT.

Compensation:

• Starting wage of $22.50 to $24.50 per hour depending on experience
• Pay increase upon completion of Class 1 license

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced work team environment under pressure to meet deadlines
• Documentation is checked thoroughly for accuracy
• Loading and unloading freight. Scaling and cubing freight when required.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment
• Complies with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Class 5 driver’s license with air endorsement
• 6 -12 months of previous driving experience
• Previous reefer experience is a definite asset
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Positive attitude and presentation
• Ability to engage in physical labour on a daily basis
