JOB DESCRIPTION

A MPA certified 3rd Class Engine Driver is a skilled worker responsible for operating and maintaining engines, machinery, and equipment aboard SR Harbourcraft ensuring that the engine and related mechanical systems function smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in engine operation or related fields, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of engine components, fuel systems, and related machinery.
Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to detect and respond to mechanical issues in real time.
Attention to Detail: Careful monitoring and logging of engine performance and maintenance tasks.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in engine rooms or machinery spaces, which may involve heavy lifting, high temperatures, and extended hours.
Communication Skills: Basic communication skills to report issues, follow instructions, and interact with other crew members.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team under the guidance of senior engineers and officers.
