Position: Utility Equipment Operator
Type: Seasonal - Approximately 3 months
Location: CNRL Horizon – Special Projects
Schedule: 7 on/7 off
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Job requirements are listed below:
- 2-5 years Heavy Equipment experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required, Class 1 or 3 is preferred
- Clean 5-year Driver Abstract obtained within 30 days of starting work is required
- One of the following basic Safety Orientations are required:
- CSTS09 or…
- OSSA Regional Orientation or…
- OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or…
- CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019)

- Safety conscious attitude

Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY:
Bouchier is seeking a skilled Utility Equipment Operator to join our team for roads and grounds projects. As a key member of our Special Projects division, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment including, but not limited to; excavators, loaders, dozers, and graders. Your primary objective will be to execute tasks with precision, efficiency, and above all, safety.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate all assigned heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and graders in a safe and effective manner to support roads and grounds projects.
- Perform finish grading operations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Adhere to legislative requirements, company policies, and procedures regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and security of all assigned equipment, conducting regular inspections and maintenance checks as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals, demonstrating adaptability to perform laborer duties as needed.
- Proactively communicate any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives, including Job Hazard Assessments, Field Level Risk Assessments, and safety meetings.
- Embrace a culture of continuous improvement by seeking opportunities to enhance equipment operation techniques and efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor, General Foreman and Site Manager
