Responsibilities:
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic part time, fixed term classroom teacher to join the learning community of St Leonard’s Primary School, Glen Waverley, starting in Week 4 of Term 1, 2025. Working days will be Thursdays and Fridays.
We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and innovative teacher to join our learning community as a classroom teacher. The successful applicant must demonstrate a passion for learning and teaching and a commitment to delivering a differentiated curriculum.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in teaching the Year 1 / 2 curriculum.
- a passion for teaching Year 1/2 aged students
- a strong commitment to Catholic Education and Catholic Identity
- a willingness to be involved in the school and Parish Community
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a willingness to seek accreditation
- exemplary learning and teaching skills with the capacity and desire to share this knowledge in a professional, collaborative and collegial way
- strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to continue to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents and our Parish community
- exemplary classroom management and teaching skills
- a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team
- a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
- a strong understanding of contemporary learning and the Victorian Curriculum
- relevant qualifications and abilities to teach at all levels
