  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Full Time

The Job

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily and weekly maintenance and housekeeping duties are being performed and logs are filled out properly
  • Daily duties include:
  • Sweeping & mopping floors
  • Dusting & sanitizing racking and workstations
  • Changing garbage and recycling bins
  • Daily kitchen and bathroom janitorial duties
  • Other regularly scheduled housekeeping duties
  • Re-stocking washroom facilities and lunchroom facilities with supplies
  • On request, perform miscellaneous handiwork to maintain, fix, and improve the facilities
  • Follow all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the quality assurance (QA) standards for the facility are met
  • Pick and scan small items with a handheld device and place them with the correct order label
  • Unload inbound shipments from trailers, verifying products received to the packing list or purchase order
  • Hand-bomb certain client products as required, lifting boxes to sort by product, re-build skids etc.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for client-specific receiving requirements
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure orders are correct and complete
  • Perform inventory maintenance, including cycle counts on pick locations, as assigned
  • Perform assembly line-based work such as kitting, co-packing
  • All other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

  • 1 – 3 years of commercial cleaning/maintenance/janitorial experience
  • 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Reliable and consistent availability for shift
  • A team player who is flexible and committed to contributing to a clean, healthy and safe work environment
  • Ability to prioritize and follow instructions as outlined
  • Capable of lifting 50lb/23kg throughout the shift
  • Demonstrated strong attention to health & safety requirements, including the use and maintenance of equipment and cleansing agents
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
