Our school is at the heart of its community located on the south edge of Coventry in an economically disadvantaged area. Our two-form entry primary school, with a 68 place nursery, prides itself in the work we do to support our spirited community. What is the job role?
Your role will be to ensure that a high level of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation is maintained throughout the school environment and that the needs of the school community are met, by working as part of a team to deliver an efficient, effective and professional cleaning service.
To ensure that all aspects of health and safety are proactively and effectively managed within the school site and that any hazards are quickly identified and rectified.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to appoint a reliable cleaner to join our hard-working team. The hours will be 3.30-6pm Monday to Friday in term time.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to undertake general cleaning duties including mopping, polishing and vacuuming
- Following training, operate various cleaning machinery
- Have experience of cleaning to a high standard including classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, etc.
- Show a willingness to undertake associated training
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
