Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a capable individual to run the cleaning team at Orana Mall. As supervisor, you will play a crucial role in making sure the delivery of service to our centre is maintained through effective cleaning operational management, resource allocation and hands on assistance to the team. You will play a pivotal role in health and safety and in ensuring that the centre is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition, providing a pleasant and safe environment for shoppers, guests and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the cleaning team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support.
- Ensure the work of your team to deliver all areas of the shopping centre being cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that require attention and take appropriate action to address any issues or deficiencies.
- Train new cleaning staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate stock is available at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and security, to address any cleaning-related issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Respond to customer complaints or inquiries regarding cleanliness and take appropriate measures to resolve any issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cleaning and sanitation and implement new techniques or technologies as appropriate.
- Prepare rosters to ensure sufficient staffing requirements are maintained and oversee time and attendance to deliver a source of truth for payroll
- Lead by example, which includes undertaking any duties required of the Cleaning Staff
