Description:

Overview
Candidate will work on various clerical and administrative tasks as needed, under general supervision.

ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate should have outstanding clerical and organizational abilities, including proficiency in computer keyboarding, along with effective oral communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word is mandatory, and the capability to acquire proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other mainframe systems.
  • Familiarity with STAR, Logica, Project One and/or e2MIS System will be viewed as an advantage.
  • Responsibilities involve reviewing and filing documents, compiling of various tracking system reports, preparing route sheets, and performing other routine clerical functions.
  • The chosen candidate will need to engage with customers regularly, both internally and externally.
  • Selected candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends when system conditions warrant.
  • The individual may be required to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays in preparation for and during weather and system emergencies.
  • The candidate must be willing to engage in cross-training assignments within the department.

QualificationsRequired Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education/Experience

  • College experience preferred

Relevant Work Experience

  • Knowledge in STAR/CRMS/Oracle/Logica/WMS, NYC Streets, ARC FM, Project One and/or e2MIS Systems. Preferred

Skills And Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments
  • Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

Licenses And Certfications

  • Driver’s License Required

Physical Demands

  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday
  • Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
  • Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday
  • Ability to read small print and symbols

Additional Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
