Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Benefits Clerk with experience in using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the administration of employee benefits programs, maintaining accurate records, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits inquiries. This role is crucial in ensuring that our benefits programs run smoothly and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience as a Benefits Clerk or in a similar role, preferably within a Human Resources department.
  • Proficiency in using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software for benefits administration is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D., Associates preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update, and manage employee benefits information in the UKG system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in the UKG platform.
  • Generate and analyze benefits reports from UKG as needed.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Process and verify benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee benefits records and files.
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies.

Employee Support:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and troubleshooting issues within the UKG system.
  • Provide guidance to employees on benefits policies, eligibility, and coverage options including New Hire Orientation for new team members.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding benefits administration, including ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing benefits-related communications to employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and information.
  • Provide support during open enrollment periods and other special projects.
  • Assist the HR department with other administrative tasks as needed.
