Description:
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Clerk of Works to join our Construction team. The Clerk of Works role will be to monitor and report on building construction works in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with design specifications, Building Regulations, Planning, and other statutory regulations in collaboration with delivery teams.
KEY SKILLS OF A CLERK OF WORKS INCLUDE:
- Strong technical proficiency in construction methodologies, materials, and quality control processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for liaising with Architects, Contractors, Engineers, and Project Managers
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills for conducting thorough site inspections and identifying construction defects.
- Analytical skills for evaluating construction plans, specifications, and quality assurance procedures.
- Problem-solving abilities and a strong aptitude for decision-making to resolve construction-related issues.
- Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure for managing multiple construction tasks and ensuring timely project completion.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in Construction and Clerk of Work related roles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using office software, including BIM360
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess workmanship and material quality.
- Collaborate with Architects, Contractors, Engineers, and Project Managers to address discrepancies and ensure project progress.
- Maintain detailed records of construction activities and prepare weekly progress reports.
- Conduct final inspections and snagging activities to ensure compliance with required standards and regulatory requirements.
