An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clerk of Works to join the team at Wolverhampton University.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clerk of Works to join the team at Wolverhampton University. The role is a full-time position based from Wolverhampton University City campus working across the Universities estate.
You will have responsibility for the quality assurance, standard of workmanship, with particular attention to fire door remedial works, new installations, and certification.
You will support the Project Manager and the University Fire Team in identifying fire hazards and risks, recording findings, advising on fire prevention. You’ll identify people at risk, as well as evaluate, remove, or reduce the risks.
You would be joining an existing team within the maintenance department.
Main working hours are 37 hours over 5 days, 52 weeks a year, however as with the whole department a flexible approach is required.
You will undertake a Clerk of Works supervisory function to the University of Wolverhampton Estates and Facilities, ensuring Wolverhampton University complies to legislative requirements, full health and safety compliance.
