Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Chesterfield County Planning Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Planning Operations & Efficiency Team and Planning Commission. We are seeking an experienced candidate to serve as a key member of our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare legal notices and official records of all public meetings.
  • Set up for and attend meetings, prepare, finalize, and archive minutes.
  • Operate live-meeting management software during meetings.
  • Organize, prepare, and disseminate items of business, documents, agendas, and supporting materials for Planning Commission meetings.
  • Review finished materials for completeness, accuracy, format, and compliance with department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Planning Commissioner calendars and manage the scheduling of appointments and meetings with staff, Commissioners, and Clerk to the Board.
  • Notarizes and certifies official documents.
  • Coordinates ordering meals/setup; assists with special projects as needed.
  • Follow up on actions taken by the Commission and provide administrative support.
  • Perform backup functions for the Clerk to Board of Zoning Appeals proceedings and compose minutes of said meetings on a rotating basis.
  • Perform department Timekeeper functions in a backup capacity; perform other work as required.
    Evening work hours are required.
