QUALIFICATIONS

You must:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree - business, engineering, and marketing background is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in client account management, business development, or a similar role within an advertising agency, adtech company, or consultancy that works in the advertising industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing client accounts.
  • Knowledge of B2B technology, especially adtech and martech, and its applications in the advertising industry.
  • Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, with the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Strong executive presence with the demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including senior executives and technical leaders.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex client dynamics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.

You also should have:

  • The ability to identify and leverage emerging industry trends and technologies to create innovative solutions for clients.
  • Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with leveraging digital marketing technologies like programmatic platforms, data management platforms (DMP), customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and marketing automation tools.
  • Existing relationships with technical leaders and staff within advertising agencies and adtech companies.
  • Attendance at any leading advertising industry events within the past year.
  • Published thought leadership in any of the leading advertising industry publications.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a high-performing Client Account Executive to lead one of our most important accounts, a major global advertising agency network. Reporting to the Global Head of Adtech at Star, this strategic role combines client-facing account leadership with the opportunity to help shape the future of our adtech practice and our account management team.
In this role, you will build and foster enduring client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor who understands the client’s specific business goals and challenges. You’ll craft comprehensive account plans that map a course for long-term success and growth, fostering a strong partnership with the client. You’ll play a key role in identifying new sales opportunities, collaborating with the sales team to develop winning proposals and closing deals. You’ll proactively identify new service offerings and solutions to drive revenue growth while also monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track client satisfaction, project profitability, and revenue generation. To stay ahead of the curve, you’ll keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and key client developments, translating those insights into strategic recommendations.
Beyond account leadership, you’ll contribute to the overall development of our account management function for Star.
This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at the client’s location or at the Star office in London.
