Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Within the Business Banking segment, the Credit Expert reports to the Manager SME. As Credit Expert, you are responsible for credit sales and related cross-selling with the aim of increasing the market share and profitability of Business Banking within the Lending, Insurance, Payments & Accounts product groups.
The Credit Expert will help ensure that the distribution model is supported Digital First, Remote where possible and Face to Face when necessary
The Credit Expert operates in a Business Hub consisting of a multidisciplinary team that includes Banker SME, insurance specialists and Business Service Experts.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Selling credits and related cross-selling to customers and prospects from the Guided segment
You advise the customer and help increase profitability in terms of loans
You are responsible for correctly assessing the risk and solvency of customers and prospects.
You develop and present more complex credit files and make decisions within the limits of the mandates granted.
As a good negotiator, you defend ING’s interests, taking into account the consequences for the customer and ensuring a good risk-return ratio for the benefit of all parties involved.
You ensure the application of the various internal risk policies mainly in KYC and credit.
As a credit expert, you ensure that all procedures and risk regulations are strictly followed by colleagues.
In addition, you are responsible for sharing your specific knowledge and experience with new employees.
You systematically pass on synergy leads to the relevant colleagues in the other segments/product lines
You maintain a good correct cooperation with the independent agents.
