Overview of Role
The Client Contracts Manager is responsible for reviewing, editing and formatting client contracts to ensure accuracy, clarity and compliance with both legal requirements and the bank’s internal policies. This role involves close collaboration with the Legal Department, Client Data Management Department as well as Marketing and other stakeholders to produce high-quality contract documents that support the bank’s operations and client relationships. This exciting position can be filled with a work rate between 60% - 100% and is limited in time for 6 – 12 months.
Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Identify and adress risks associated with contracts and projects.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management.

Contract Review:

  • Review and adjust document approval process.
  • Review and adjust change, access and notification process.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies or errors in contract language and terms.

Editing:

  • Edit contracts for clarity, coherence, and consistency.
  • Correct grammatical, punctuation, and typographical errors.
  • Ensure the contract language is clear and understandable for all parties involved, in particularly in the context of banking services.

Layout and Formatting:

  • Format contracts according to the bank’s guidelines and standards.
  • Use appropriate styles, fonts, and layouts to enhance readability and professionalism.
  • Ensure documents are visually appealing and easy to navigate.

Design and Interactive PDF creation:

  • Transfer client contracts from Word documents into a design software/tool (e.g. Adobe InDesign).
  • Create interactive PDFs that are user-friendly and meet the bank’s standards for digital documents.
  • Ensure the interactive PDFs include necessary features such as clickable links, fillable forms, agreed formulas, and navigation aids.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all reviewed and edited contracts.
  • Ensure all versions of contracts are properly documented and stored.
  • Track changes and updates to contracts over time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Paralegal, Bank clerk or a degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in contract review, editing or related field, preferably within the banking or financial services sector. Proficient experience in project management is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in document editing formatting software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat) and project management processes.
  • Ability to understand and interpret legal and financial language and contract terms.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, German and French, Spanish is an advantage (ability to review, edit and format contracts in all languages).
  • Design Skills: Good knowledge in design software/tools (e.g. Adobe InDesign) and experience in creating interactive PDFs.
  • Emphasis on teamwork and the ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues.
  • Innovation: Creativity and the ability to develop new ideas and solutions.
